About Kirk House
Kirk House is one of BCM’s most enduring and successful services, providing practice-leading care and encompassing everything needed to create a genuine home from home. Our aim is to provide the best possible care to older people, including those living with dementia.
The site on King’s Road was donated by the family of the late Dr Kirk, and a purpose built home was constructed and opened in 1993 in partnership with the organisation known today as Choice Housing. The home today remains a popular fixture of the local community, and is renowned for its family-feel and leafy surroundings.

Kirk House is located in prime position nestled between Cherryvalley and the Upper Newtownards Road.
This leafy location is just a few minutes’ walk from excellent local amenities such as Kings Square, Cherryvalley and Ballyhackamore shops and cafes, and a few minutes’ drive from the Outer Ring.
There is a bus stop at the end of the driveway which provides ease of access to public transport links for Belfast.
Stormont Estate and the Ulster Hospital are close at hand. Local leisure facilities include Shandon Park Golf Club, David Lloyd Leisure, the Comber Greenway and the popular East Point Entertainment Village are all easily accessible.
